AP News and major national publications have featured USA Fibroid Center’s latest initiative addressing the critical gap in women’s healthcare. The coverage highlights a staggering reality: despite clinical evidence confirming that non-surgical uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) improves quality of life for 86% of patients, recent reports in JAMA Network Open show that over 96% of women are still being steered toward invasive surgeries like hysterectomies.

By documenting these long-term outcomes in our 1,285-patient study, USA Fibroid Centers is leading the national conversation on health equity. Our research proves that outpatient UFE is not only faster and safer but essential for providing underserved populations—including 40% of our study participants who were Medicaid recipients—with uterus-preserving options. This widespread media recognition reinforces our commitment to ensuring that a patient’s geography or insurance type does not dictate their standard of care.
