About Stephanie Spano, M.D.
Stephanie Spano, M.D., is an interventional radiologist specializing in minimally invasive, image-guided treatments for uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, and venous disease. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and works closely with each patient to develop a personalized treatment plan that supports the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Spano earned her medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine. She completed her internship at Mather Hospital and her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Stony Brook University Hospital, where she participated in the Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) pathway. She went on to complete advanced fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology through NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Spano held postdoctoral clinical fellow academic appointments in Interventional Radiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Her areas of interest include the treatment of uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, and venous disorders using advanced minimally invasive techniques.
Dr. Spano remains actively engaged in the field of interventional radiology through professional societies, continuing education, and research. She is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology’s Women in IR Section and has presented research at leading national and international radiology conferences.
