Biography
About Victor Y. Yu, M.D.
Victor Y. Yu, M.D., is a board-certified radiologist specializing in vascular and interventional radiology. With a distinguished background in military service, engineering, medicine, and academic leadership, he is dedicated to improving patients’ lives through advanced, minimally invasive treatments.
Dr. Yu earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and completed fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of Michigan. He also holds a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Before pursuing a career in interventional radiology, Dr. Yu served in the U.S. Army, where he spent more than eight years in military service and later taught as an Assistant Professor at West Point. He subsequently practiced medicine at several military healthcare facilities and went on to serve as Chief of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital.
Drawing on his extensive leadership, military, and medical experience, Dr. Yu is committed to providing patient-centered care and helping individuals access innovative, image-guided treatments for vascular and other complex conditions.
