Yan Katsnelson, M.D., CEO and Founder of USA Clinics Group, recently shared what inspired him to start USA Fibroid Centers on the iHeartRadio podcast CEOs You Should Know.
While working as a cardiac surgeon, Dr. Katsnelson saw how medical innovations, such as minimally invasive procedures, could significantly change patients’ lives with fewer risks. He realized a need for patient-focused, cost-effective health care in underserved communities, especially for conditions that can be easily treated if diagnosed early. This inspired him to start his own nationwide network of office-based vein clinics. This then expanded to other health service lines to treat other chronic conditions such as uterine fibroids.
Because hysterectomies remain a common treatment for women with fibroids, Dr. Katsnelson has made it his mission to educate women on other existing treatment options, such as uterine fibroid embolization (UFE).
