USA Fibroid Centers were recently featured on News 12 The Bronx for their efforts in educating the local community about the dangers of uterine fibroids and the effective treatments available at their clinics.
The report highlighted that 80% of Black women will develop fibroids by age 50, compared to 70% of white women, emphasizing a significant health disparity. Dr. Yan Katsnelson, CEO of USA Fibroid Centers, describes the variety of care offered at the Fibroid clinics including minimally invasive treatments such as Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE).
“We are very appreciative of the recognition from News 12 The Bronx,” said Dr. Katsnelson, “This acknowledgment helps us further our mission of empowering women with vital information about fibroids.”
The segment also emphasized the ongoing efforts to raise awareness and provide resources to those affected by fibroids. USA Fibroid Centers helped sponsor a Fibroid Awareness event in Times Square on July 25 to further this effort.
