USA Fibroid Centers played a pivotal role in the Fibroid Fighters’ annual event, “A Night in Full Bloom”. The event, which brought together prominent figures and patients affected by fibroids, aimed to raise awareness about this often-misunderstood condition. Founder and CEO Dr. Yan Katsnelson provided the keynote address and spoke about the importance of women being health care advocates. Fibroids are benign uterine growths affect 26 million American women. Dr. Yan Katsnelson estimated that by the age of 50, 80% of Black women and 70% of white women will experience fibroids.
Dr. Jacob White from USA Fibroid Centers was a key speaker, emphasizing the importance of alternative treatments to hysterectomy, a common but often unnecessary procedure for fibroids. Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE), a minimally invasive procedure offered by USA Fibroid Centers, was highlighted as a safe and effective option for many women.
UFE is a minimally invasive procedure wherein a small catheter is inserted through a blood vessel in the leg or wrist and injects tiny particles to stop the blood from feeding the fibroids. The procedure is done in-office with minimal recovery time and an 85% success rate.
This is a stark difference from the prevailing notion that fibroids must be treated via hysterectomy, wherein the uterus is surgically removed.
Both Dr. Katsnelson and Dr. Jacob White of USA Fibroid Centers highlighted the extreme nature of hysterectomies and the potential side effects.
The event underscored the urgent need for women to prioritize their health and seek timely treatment for fibroid symptoms. Attendees were encouraged to share their experiences on social media to break the stigma surrounding fibroids and empower other women to seek help. By providing comprehensive information and treatment options, USA Fibroid Centers is leading the charge in improving the lives of women affected by fibroids.
The event served as a powerful platform to educate the public about fibroids and the available treatment options. USA Fibroid Centers’ participation in A Night in Full Bloom reinforces its commitment to patient care and advocacy.
